E3 2009: Mod Nation Racers announced

During their E3 2009 keynote speech, Sony announced Mod Nation Racers, a community and creative-focused title from developer United Front Games.

The game is being developed with the notion of "play, create and share" in mind, focusing on community interaction and custom made content, much in the vein of LittleBigPlanet.

The title will be a kart racing title, allowing you to generate your own characters and build your own karts.

During the demo shown, we were presented with a quick run-through of the track creation feature, which looks deep and enjoyable. The demonstrators showed off how quickly and effectively you could make a detailed and challenging racing track in only a matter of minutes.

The title is set for release exclusively on Playstation 3 in 2010.

Depends on the price is full price ill wait but if cheaper that normal ill get this pretty soon after release looks great fun thought o dear after first seeing it but then it grew on me

it looked amazing you can quickly make your course, and hopefully the creation system for drivers and cars is as simple but i think i could spend a good time playing this game

I think this will be on my shopping list, really like the idea of being able to make my own courses. Reminds me of the old days when I used to play Motorcross Madness 2 on PC & there was so many fantastic user-generated tracks to download for the game that playing the game never got boring.

sounds like an awesome idea! should make it download only. hopefully it will incorporate physics of great games like Mario and Crash racers
