are you dissapointed with e3 , good new then ,at least 12 Announcements at Leipzig 2008

David Reeves (SCEE CEO): 12 Announcements to be made at Leipzig

Buttonmasher writes: At least two of the big players at E3 commented about announcements not made at E3 and games that were not on show. There has been no comment from Microsoft about the lack of Alan Wake at E3 but both Sony and EA are making hints that their Leipzig lineups contain something that a lot of people went away wanting after E3, new stuff.

Since an interview with Todd Sitrin in March, which mentioned that there were two new sports IP’s in the works at EA, there has been a lot of talk about what they could be and when they will show their faces. Facebreaker is almost upon us and so it is that we start looking to the future and what we will be playing next.

In my time with Peter Moore we talked about these games and when we might be finding out what they will be. While talking about the importance of globalisation and the timing of the announcements of these new titles he said the following.

“You’ll hear some interesting announcements come Leipzig”

Fairly blunt and to the point. The full interview will be in one of the next ButtonMasher Podcasts.

The second bits of information came from Sony. At the PAL specific press briefing David Reeves said that they had about 12 announcements to make at Leipzig, far more than what made its way out at E3.

what do you guys think, any guesses you wanna share , maybe well see sony mysterious game

Yoda or Vader?

I was leaning towards the PS3 version of SC4, with the deciding factor being which Star Wars character was going to be available. I always though Vader would be cooler, but after seeing the SC4 trailer before The Dark Knight and seeing Yoda in action, I was unsure.

Now, I'm a step closer.

www.1up.com/

The Xbox 360 version's advantage rests with its exclusive guest Star Wars character, Yoda. The PS3 version is saddled with Darth Vader, but Yoda is the better character of the two, as he's sprightly and nimble, as opposed to the slow and lumbering Vader.

Don't meant to start a war or anything, and I hope that's not what happens, but I can actually imagine now, Yoda being cooler to control than Vader, what with all his jumping and size and stuff.

Interesting, and I'm not going to let one review totally influence me, but it's pushed me towards 360. Is anyone else that is a PS360 owner judging their purchase based on the quality of the Star Wars characters?

PSN Game Share Thread 2.0

Welcome to the improved Game Share Thread - an updated and more organised version of this thread www.myps3.com.au/

- Please refrain from posting there and leave game shares here now -

Here's the thread for all your PSN game share needs. Post the games you have and the games you want and wait for somone to offer their services to you or have a look for some games you want and go from there...

Gameshare?
- Yes. When you download content from the PSN store you buy 5 licenses for the download meaning it can be downloaded up to 5 times on a possible 5 PS3 consoles.
Eg. You just purchased and downloaded Super Stardust HD, you can now share it with 4 more people after which re-downloading it will be locked. All copies will work but you will no longer be able to download or share it again.

Ok. How do you share?
- Simple, you find a member on the thread who has a game you want, ask them if they want to trade with you, if they agree you then organize the trade via PM (personal message) or via the Playstation Network.

- Next you will each need to send each other the log in information (sign in email and password) via PM or the Playstation Network.

- You then need to create another user on your PS3, then “sign into the network” but you must select “use existing account”.

Hypothetical Sale: MGS4 Poster

This isnt a sale as of yet, but i have a limited edition wall poster of MGS4: Guns of the Patriots with Snake on one side (see below) and a massive MGS4 logo on the other. The poster itself is in perfect condition and is MASSIVE. The size is about... 7-8 foot length ways, and 2 foot in width. Hard to tell really, but its designed to be used on a feature wall (cause... it takes up an entire wall lol).

How much do you think one of these would fetch for? How much would someone on here buy it for? I am *considering* selling it, but then again its so freakin awesome it'd have to be a pretty decent offer.
love this game..as a fan of the series I was just hoping for a big improvement of SA..which was too much driving A to B and nothing in between

The cab factor is great, the ability to replay a mission straight away is great also

the cars handle better...the shotting scenes are great...you can duck and hide...and roll....its awesome effort

I also like the fact is not graphically perfect...this kind of adds to the cult status of the game in some ways....

I honestly cant pick a fault in it....the wanted level and it shows on the map is a welcome addition and much fairer

[UPDATE] Take a look after the jump for more images, details on how trophies will work and some information on in-game XMB.

[Thanks, The Patriots]

Another tipster, calling himself "Gassy Snake," claims that he is a game developer who can vouch for The Patriots. He claims that the above image is real and, to prove it, proceeded to send us a picture of one of the other pages. These pages are called "gamer card" and "compare," though these are not the official titles. As you can see below, your gamer card/box/profile (whatever you want to call it) will feature a trophy total and a "level." How you progress up these levels is anyone's guess, but there also seems to be some room for extra information of some kind.

Gassy Snake also tells us that each trophy type will be worth a different number of points, so there are limits to how many of each trophy are in a single game. In order to progress through levels you will need to gain a certain number of trophy points. This number will increase with each level, making it more difficult to reach higher levels.

So has anyone else played this game!? Demo or full game? If so what did you think of it? Personally it's won me over big time, i've never been scared from a horror game in a LONG time, until this game came out. Excellent graphics, great sound and very intense gameplay. It is one game that has made me feel very proud to own a PS3, horror games dont get any scarier. I recommend it to all horror fans, seriously.

FS/FT: Swap Magic 3.6

So I have got the Swap Magic 3.6 DVD and CD copies with 2 swap keys and the chips needed for the slim PS2 that I used for the last 2 months that my PS2 was active (before I got my PS3).

What is Swap Magic?
You can run burnt PS2 games without having to install a modchip, thus avoiding warranty and saving you big buckaroonies!! ALSO you can run SNES and NES emulators from your PS3 using Swap Magic and a few extra downloaded files, yes, I did just say you can run ALL the SNES and NES games directly from your PS3. What's more 1337 than that?

It's the PAL copy, mint condition, doesn't come with original package (it wasn't practical so I replaced it with a 2 disk DVD case). The Slim PS2 chips are easy to install, they simply clip just inside, easy to install and no warranty void.

Pretty hard to get in Aus so consider it a good buy.

Make me an offer (pm or post here)...Trade or cash is good.

PS3 Returns to Blacktown, Sydney

Some of you guys might know that I had to send my PS3 down to the Sony repair centre in Blacktown to fix the drive laser, right?

Well, I called them up today to keep track of my PS3 ... and they're saying that I'm part of an 'exchange' process.

i.e. I get someone else's PS3 that is already in the process of being fixed, which was submitted before I submitted my PS3. Someone else gets my fixed PS3 after they submit their's. It's supposed to make the process "faster".

But I'm not cool with it ... I don't want someone else's, when it might be in a worse condition, or older or something. My PS3 was only 7 months old! What happens if I get someone else's PS3 which was 11 months old (still 'just' covered by warranty)? An older PS3 could lead to other potential problems ... and who knows how they treated their PS3s ...

I'm wondering if anyone else was aware of this. Were you cool with it?

I don't think I would be. Lucky I wrote down my PS3's serial number. First thing I'm doing when my PS3's back ... is check the serial number ...

Dlink 524 Help

Hi, I know this is a little random but I was wondering if anyone could help me with my D-link wireless router (DI-524)
I've had it for months now and I hardly know how it works (but I know that it does work )

My PS3 and phone can connect to it fine, but I am unable to get to the setup wizard via the IP address it gives me, it tells me to type in admin and then leave the password blank but it does not work for me.
I only want this set up so I can see what is using my wireless and to make it private so it has a password (so no one can score free internetzz from me)
Do I need to do the setup wizard to do this? Or can I view this sort of information on my computer somewhere? (I have Vista not XP)
Cheers if anyone could help me.

I mainly want to do this because last weekend my dad bought some media center hard drive wireless thing (sorry I don't even know its proper name) basically its a HD that can store movies and music videos and you can hook it up to the TV to watch, this HD is wireless and ever since we got it my interwebz has been very slow so i want to find out if its this thats using all my banwidth!
