Life was going sweet. Friday night marked the welcoming of a new addition to my family. Down came the standard LG Plasma and up went my brand new 46" X Series Bravia. Playing Metal Gear Solid 4 was like playing it for the first time again. Blu-ray movies were looking so real I thought I could smell Will Smith in I Am Legend and Neighbours in HD is always worth a new T.V....right guys....guys?

So basically the weekend consisted of copious amounts of my mates coming over to check out the new hardware and watching a bunch of movies and having good times. Then came Sunday night which made me a very Agitated Hellerphant....

I went to the local Fish and Chip shop and made the usual Sunday order of $3 of chips, 2 scollops and two pieces of flake for myself and the missus. I then scurried over to the drinks fridge when I saw a old favourite.... Portello!

That purple liquid that I had spent many a good times drinking with friend and relatives over my childhood years, in between clocking Super Mario Bros and Double Dragon, the drink I was drinking when my parents brought home our SNES, the drink I was drinking when I played my very first Metal Gear title...

It's been years since I'd seen it, so as all these feelings of excitement were passing through me I practically leapt for joy as I grabbed the drink out...

UNTIL I LOOKED AT THE LABEL

PORTINO

WHAT THE &%#*(@%_ is PORTINO? WHO THE HELL AUTHORIZED THEM TO CHANGE THE NAME?

I enjoyed many a months sailing into the tasty, refreshing bays of Portello and all of a sudden years later they expect me to just cruise on in to the waters of Portino and not notice the difference?

DO THEY THINK I'M STUPID?

It's like they are trying to pretend that Portello never existed. Not the drink formally known as Portino, not a cheap knock off from Taiwan, just a name change
