PS3 News \ for those who dont understand the 80 gig ps3

for the people who are interested in purchasing the new 80 gig ps3 SKU unit which will appear in august, look at this chart before you buy one, because some people are getting the wrong ideas on what is in the new ps3

just to let you know , as of now the production has ceased for ps3 productions, and now only the 80 gigs are being made now.

Wont Have

-Memory Card Readers
-4 Usb Ports
-Backwards Compatibility (although the NSTC 80 gig has it, may be the previous model)
-Super Audio CD support

will have

-Twice the amount of space from 40 gig
-chrome trim (like 60 gig)

i wish that they never tookl off the usb ports for the 40 gig , i was spewing when i could finally afford my ps3 and all the 60s were gone , i would like the car readers aswell but honestly doesnt worry me that much , the usbs i would have liked but i suppose i can grab an add-on to turn my 2 into 6

Regardless of wiki, it's just the same ol' 40g model, but with 80g instead. This was established at the conference.

Might be cheaper too. Shops will want to get rid of them quickly, so what you save on the PS3 could go towards a bigger HDD.

Sony said they wont be discounting the 40 gig units. So it would be better to wait get the new 80's for the dual shock and bigger HDD
