Its been a while since this thread was active but I'm looking at trading my copy of PES2008 this week... for FIFA08. This is a big call for me as I've been a Pro Evo man since the ISS days on the PS1. However, the PS3 version is awful, a horrible let down. Offline is OK (if you can get past the shabby presentation and menus) but some of the changes like the super quick wingers / strikers make the game play uneven, and don't even get me started on the online play, what a shambles and not worth the disc its written on. I've never had an online that has been worth playing for more then 10 secs.
One issue I believe could make the trade an issue is that a new owner of my copy of the game will need to use my passowrd to register the game online (if they so wish) but I'm happy to put a post-it with the info in the box for them if they need it.
So, FIFA08. Given the previous comments on this thread it sounds like it ticks all the boxes on presentation, etc (as it always does). I'm unsure on gameplay but willing to give it a go. Couple of questions first though:
1. Can I reconfigure the buttons to match PES?
2. I've got a reasonably quick ADSL 2+ connection, what are my chances of getting a decent, quick, lag free game online (in Aus and with my mates in the UK)?
3. Has anyone had any problems getting PES2008 traded-in?
Any thoughts or experiences on the above will be much appreciated.
