It's excellent, fast, streamlined, effective and cheap.

If you want to stream HD videos, the Apple TV is the way to go - it has 802.11n, instead of the PS3's 802.11g

However the Apple TV can only handle up to 720p But overall, it is one of the best entertainment boxes out there.

If you're talking about Protected AAC, then yes it sucks - but you can hold off and buy iTunes Plus songs, same price but no DRM.

hmm.. i did not tweak anything after i installed MediaLink, my PS3 recognized the server immediately. The only problem is for few times the "error" msg came out, my PS3 froze. I have to switched it off and stop the medialink. It happened when i tried to do slideshow from iphoto and play music from itunes at the same time.

Finally i got both running for abt > 1hr without any problem. Still evaluating .... and has not tried video etc yet.

hmmm ...my view is until you can run the demo one properly - dont waste your money.

For me - id like to use the PS3 for other than games

ooo ohh have you go thru the FAQ at nullriver?? by the way what router do u use?

mine - modem netgear and airport extreme.
