By 2011 the slimline PS3 will be out and the war between HD-DVD and Bluray is over, thanks to the PS3. The console war will be over with the Wii losing its fan base - games will turn out boring and pointless - and also with emerging technologies; people will demand more High Def contents. The future Wii (Nintendo Poo?) will have a design that would make people go “WTF?” and the “unique” controller will be your own voice… (Eg: “ZELDA RUN AND KILL MARIO!”). The 360 will be outdated and Microsoft will release a new Xbox during 2011, with brand new hardware and new strategies to bring the PS4 down. While the PS3 will have sales of more than 200 million, making it the most successful console ever; more than 500 games will be released by then, with more exclusive titles.
In 2012 the Playstation 4 will come out, with a new processor called the "Atom" which is 50 times faster than the Cell used in the PS3. The PS4 will be able to read 10 layered Bluray discs (300Gb); will have WiFi n-draft, HDMI 2.0, USB 3.0 and a 10 petabyte hard drive. The controller will have: tilt, rumble, OLED-lit buttons and self-rechargable batteries. (Oops sorry for going on about the PS4...)
That's the fun of technology: the more companies compete, the better technology we get...and also the faster we file for bankruptcy.
