No, Quantic Dream (Developer of Heavy Rain) have confirmed that the movie acting scene displayed in that technology showcase is part of the game. Mary Smith being one of the lead characters. Its been described as a dark noir thriller with mature themes. I really cannot wait for this game. Wikipedia is your friend for more info, i'd link you myself but i am only using a web browser for the time being.

There was an article stating that the game will be set in different locations, from a subway station, shopping mall etc, locations with large amounts of characters on screen. I think it will play similar to Farenheight (Is that how you spell it?) I think this info was from a joystiq article, there should be a link on that Wikipedia page. Sony clearly saw something in this game, hence why they and Quantic Dream signed up. I think this will rank up there with MGS4 and FFXIII easily.

What about ratchet and uncharted they both got 9-8's

And after MGS4, Well there is Resistance 2, Motorstrom 2, Little Big Planet, Infamous, Socom: confrontation, all the exclusive PSN games plus the dozens of multiplatform games coming out this year.

It seems alot of people only read what they want to read. Resistance, Ratchet & Clank, Uncharted, Folklore, MotorStorm, Heavenly Sword. All fantastic games right there, wether you like them or not. I guess its each to their own, but as a owner of both a 360/PS3, this years release list is much more pleasing than 360's imho. Too Human looks decent at best, and Ninja Gaiden 2 has flopped according to many peoples standards (IGN, 1up etc). With poor slowdown being a very talked about screw up. Team Ninja got what they deserved when there smug idiot Itagaki started criticisng every game but his own. Gears of War 2 on the other hand, that looks great, the only 360 title i have plans on getting this year compared to atleast 5 PS3 exclusives ( MGS4, MotorStorm 2, Little Big Planet, Resistance 2 and Siren) But again, each to their own.

Whoa up there little lady I said in 08 MGS4 is the only CONFIRMED exceptional ps3 exclusive release. Considering sonys recent track record with delays nothing is confirmed till its in your hand. That "Q4 08" label isn't worth anything these days.
Ratchet and Uncharted might look good when compared to other ps3 titles, but when you start comparing them to pc and 360 titles there nothing special.

Gamespot don't always get it right but there not as loose with their 9's and 10's as most other sites.
Ps3 games list in order of good to bad.

I've been gaming for 2 decades and I've always owned every console in each generation since the snes/megadrive era. I compare ps3 games to 360 games and pc games, opinions may differ but most unbiased gamers with over a decades experience will tell you that the ps3 has yet to produce any genre defining exclusives. MGS4 will almost certainly change that, hopefully its the first of many great exclusives. Personally i don't feel as is sony are as committed to quality exclusives as they should be, in fact the quality was missing entirely from haze and lair.

Ninja gaiden 2 was a failure scoring 8.7? I'll have to remember that next time you praise a ps3 exclusive that scored worse.

So you go on about the PS3 having constant delays, and yet I will be astounded is fable 2 makes it out this year. As for Allen wake and halo wars they haven’t shown anything about them for so long they are looking like 2009 titles as well. As for left for dead, well as with all valve games, The PC version is by far the one to get.

So really the only 360 exclusive games that i see making it out this year will be banjo (which I wish they left a straight platformer) and Gear's 2.

Looks like you're having trouble understanding this little lady's post.....Do you seriously think Fable 2, Halo Wars and ESPECIALLY Alan Wake will be released this year on 360? I havent forgotten those titles, i just didnt mention them because i am 100% sure you will not see those games this year. You're kidding yourself if you think Alan Wake will make it this year. Its like me saying PS3 has Heavy Rain, FFXIII, Killlzone 2,GT5 and Tekken 6 this year...which is total bs, like the games you mentioned that will be out this year on 360. For a dusty old gamer like yourself, you may know about consoles, and im not doubting you, but your knowledge on releases is about as embarrassing as your avatar..I'll give you my 360 tag if you want, just so i can kick your ass online for this comment xD

Everyone has their own opinion. If someone likes something better than another thing it's fair enough. I'm sure a lot of people liked fable better than final fantasy.

To be honest final fantasy has been a crock of poo since FF10. Square enix in my OPINION is losing their touch. Unless they do something with FF13 I'm not really caring for anymore FF games.

Lol, almost missed this bit. You're basing scores from Gamespot only? Who, no offence seem to be a very biased site towards PS3. Ratchet and Clank TOD for example was awarded a 7.5 from Gamespot and a 9.4 from IGN. Who do you believe more? Be fair, use gamerankings as your review source. As for Ninja Gaiden 2, yeah sure, 8.7 isnt bad, but for a game that Team Ninja bragged it to be "Teh B3st @ction gaem EvaRRRR" 8.7 is hardly proving it. Again, are you only reading what you want to read? 1up rewarded this title a 7/10 and most of the reviews have sh@t on the game due to its frequent slow down and lag ridden gameplay between fight scenes. Visually it looks on par with Ninja Gaiden Sigma which was released last year. Doesnt say alot for 360's power now does it if that game was supposed to blow everything away like it should have.

Sony have spent a massive amount of money to make blu-ray the chosen format for the movie studios, and have been a little tight with their game development funds. Thats fact not my opinion, promoting blu-ray movies is still the main focus for sony currently.

As for varying reviews thats nothing new, ign however are notorious in their "cash for good reviews" approach to video game journalism. Any site that accepts advertisement money from games studios has been compromised (pretty much all of them). Which is why I play demos and 'eb rent' my judgments of the ps3 exclusives has come from 1st hand experience. Perhaps my expectations are higher than most, but none of the current ps3 exclusives left an impression on me.

I'll make a thread at the end of the year comparing the 08 ps3 exclusives to pc and 360 exclusives, I feel as if the ps3 will be the weakest of the three. There will be no excuse other than 'lack of investment or effort' if sony is out done in the exclusive department in 08.
