I know this is only a tiny snapshot of people... 45 to be exact, but so far... 25% of people have had a problem with their PS3.. If this is the same over a wider group of people.. this is enough to make it (as I KEEEEP saying) Sony's equivalent to the RRoD. c'mon Sony.. sort out your warranties. MS did, 3 years on a RRoD problem. It's time to match it, or people aren't going to waste their money!!
I have one customer who's PS3 died a week before GTA4 came out, (that's all he was waiting for too) and he's on the verge of buying a 360. And another customer who is/was a die-hard playstation fan just bought himself a new 360, because of the problems. Basically, he wasn't prepared to lay down $700 on something that may break.
