But if you previously had a Mac, i would say go for the MacBook

Are you saying MacBook as in a Laptop cause that's what a macbook is. Both are good computers and both expensive, so i want to be sure with this choice, because i want to get my money worth.

If you want gaming, then go the windoze box. Apple sucks for gaming.
PS. Alienware PC's are waaay overpriced mate. Seriously, you could build yourself something twice as powerful for the same price, just depends if you have the know how and could be bothered.

That's true Sir409 but you cant judge Mac now that there crap for gaming like the mac pro comes with a ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT 256MB or even upgrade to a NVIDIA Quadro FX 5600 1.5GB. And thats true that Alienware is over priced and i have built my own pc before and saved but haven't gone the full dream Computer. also one more thing Macs are able to run Vista on them to cause there intel now. Thats why i said to base your opinion on the specification cause just take of them at pc cause they both are

They make games for Windows. Windows is made for PC's. They make like WoW, and D2 for macinfail. Just for giggles, go to www.fluidtek.com and put some prices together of the components you are after - see how cheap 'dreamy' can really be.

Did you even read his previous post, he said that you can install windows on mac.

RSOP, I'd get the mac, simply because you can get way better specs and you can dual boot mac and windows

Why go to the trouble of dual-booting, if you want gaming, why not just buy a PC? It can do everything the mac can do.

ok Sir409 so far now looking at the specs if you know anything about the specs which are shown, that a pc is good and i have had one for many years. Well sorry to tell you that your standard mac actually runs vista much better than a pc sorry to burst your bubble. but if you remember this thread was about not mac vs pc. i can bring out some more facts you know about this if you want. suck as your pc even on 64 bit can really only take up to about 4 gigs of ram 6 the most and you want be getting much out of it. and your macpro is able to get 32 gigs of ram and running a 2.8 t0 a 3.0 grtz quad core. thanks iaculch for actuall paying attention to the post

So, if you end up running Vista on an Intel/Nvidia based system, it's essentially turned into a PC, no?
I'd like to see some 'proof' in the way of benchmarks, with Mac Pro gaming competing with high end PC's. I don't seem to be able to find any.

64 bit Vista Home Premium supports up to 16gb of RAM.
32 bit OS' support up to 4.
