I can't and as a related point I'm always signed off the PSN when I watch a Blu-Ray or DVD.

Hasn't worked when tried on John Mayer and Batman Begins.

BD Live does not use the PSN network. You Have to go to the BD/DVD setting an enable BD Internet Connection. The only move out here That is BD Live in australia is Men in Black.
