price and uncensored games are the major factors

Yurp, plus another 20 Percent interest from the credit card from that... plus delivery yea... equals up to about the same price from yor local shop. Just takes longer. And is usually designed for lazy people. Not saying anyone here is lazy..

GO PLAY-ASIA!!! That's all I can say. The only AUS games I have are MGS4 (came with PS3), Heavenly sword and Resistance (Both on special for $45).
Otherwise, I've gotten R&C Future for $65, GTAIV for $60, Lost Planet for $40 and Assassin's Creed for $30...

I don't usually import, i don't have any problems with spending more to get something NOW instead of paying less for it online and waiting a month for it to arrive

That's a slight exaggeration. I never mind a 'little' extra, but when i go to JB, or Eb, and I see games for $115(I bought COD4 for $115), or even $99.95 as opposed to $67 from Estarland, that's an incentive to get it online.
Considering that only 4 out of my 18 games are Pal-regin 4, it's a huge saving. Also helps when something gets rejected by the OFLC. E.g Dark Sector.

I always import for price reasons. I purchase PS3 games at USD56.95 usually, plus USD7 for shipping.
There are some exceptions e.g. Force Unleashed, FIFA 09 and Little Big Planet which I will buy from JB straight away on release day

Buying from overseas adds to the fun.
I've bought a French DVD from the french/ebay site, that was heaps of fun....and getting a "thankyou for your purchase" letter in French with it when it arrived was funny as..plus french feedback.
Bought a KaneDVD from Belgium, after a week with no email saying item sent, i politely asked if it had been, they wrote back....."No Panique" LOL, we got it a few days later. We say that too each other all the time now....No Panique!!! with our best french/aussie accent.
Imported car parts from Japan, thru their Japanese yahoo auctions...even after paying someone a 20% commision for doing it for me, i saved hundreds, and again heaps of fun navigating Jap auctions!
Internet has made the world so accessable, i love it!
....oh, and paying over $100 a game in store???? forget it!
Online is awesome, convenient, and fun.

I got my dualshock 3 imported and got them for half the price of what you would have to pay at EB and i also got my gta 4 imported as it was uncut and much cheaper. The only time I buy games from EB is when they have their sales as then the games are pretty cheap.

I can guarantee that UPS don't make shipments on the weekend.
I've had quite a few orders where I had to wait until Monday to get my hands on my new goodies ...

In play asias recent sale i had a white DS3 delivered to my door for $50.50, Big W wanted $99.
Its a good way to send a message about the ridiculous mark up games software and hardware suffers in Australia. I'll only consider buying in oz if the game is new, uncensored and $80 or less.

i think JB's release day is usually at least 2 or 3 days later than EB and GAME etc.....thats how they get away with the cheaper prices, or should i say: thats how EB and GAME get away with the more EXPENSIVE prices, cos they know u cant go to JB for a couple days
But the 7-day refund policy is the easy loophole there

You don't have to have a credit card. Some sites give the option to use PayPal. I know a lot of people don't like to use that either though.

Oh true! I forgot. I tried to get EB to pricematch JB for Battlefield Bad Company on release day, or day before release day (EB got stock early?) but they wouldn't pricematch because JB had no stock yet.
Oh, one more question. Does JB always do the "trade 2 games in for ####" deal? I want to trade in FIFA 08 and something else for FIFA 09 ...
