It will be fine to use on an Australian power outlet as we use 240v. Just read the box or in the manual if it is actually 220v. Im pretty sure US and Japan run at around 100v. On my japanese 360 i had to use a transformer which has always worked perfectly

where can i find a transformer?

also would it be the same for japanese/chinese ps3s?

Newer TVs support PAL as well as NTSC signals
If you have an old TV, chances are it only supports PAL ...

It's because of the video signals/settings. A crap load of PAL Blu-ray games DON'T work on my NTSC-J PS3's via my SDTV (a newish (2007) model SDTV that supports NTSC video signals)...which ticks me off to the core, mate!

God damnit Australia Post is hopeless.
I get a tracking number for my MGS PS3, but it's not even on AusPost's systems.

Remember how I helped my co-worker sell his PS3? Well, he called up AusPost as well with his tracking number ... and again, it wasn't on the system.
