Weapons-wise, it looks like a standard FPS dealio to me... all I'm worried about is the gameplay mechanics

I hate gimmicky FPS's... "special powers" give me the ****s... but I'm really looking forward to Haze.

well as far as im concerned HL2:eppisode 2 will be the biggest FPS for me for the year(also portal that game looks dam cool).but as for a console shooter i realy hope that haze delivers cause it looks like it has an interesting story.

It had a lot of good points, but the gameplay was unbalanced... you didn't get nearly as much freedom as they said you did, and the difficulty was just ridiculous at points...

I hope I am too... I really do, but my sense of logic tells me otherwise. The last really innovative FPS I played was Prey, it blew my socks off, this just looks like flashy graphics and an underachieving physics engine...

Surely they could have put it to better use than that? I never knew you were into PC games, Callan? It hasn't been announced for consoles, and my PC doesn't have a hope in hell...

I'm not really big on PC games man, im a console guy for sure, but Crysis, well that was an exception that looked Brilliant! Dont write it off yet mate, its still a realistic enough chance hopefully.

I have a feeling Quake Wars will be a far better game though..graphics not as pretty obviously, but im currently playing the open beta and the gameplay is frikken awesome, very similar to the quake of old.
