Online, PSN and Hosting \ When will they improve the internet browser?

I fail to see why we can't download microsoft media player or quicktime onto the PS3 because as is most of mainstream websites can't be used properly, I'd love to watch live aid on my LCD through the PS3 but it won't let me open it, the same goes for the fact I wish I could download HD movie trailers (without PSN having to have them in order for me to do it).

I doubt we will ever see windows media player and quicktime pugins for the ps3 web browser.
But what I would really like to see is improved flash. Because most sites like gametrailers.com now have all the videos in FLV flash web players and if Sony just updated the flash player in the browser then we could watch them for sure.

Also if/when the playstation 3 becomes more main stream many sites will offer AVC/MP4(ps3 native video format) files as a download.
