Playstation 3 Software & Firmware \ NBA 2K8 Patches?

I just got my PS3 and have started playing NBA 2K8 but the game just seems to be having a few problems.

Now I am new to the PS3 world so Im not 100% sure if there is anything I can download to fix some of the problems, if anyone else has the game feel free to add me online.

also did you download the patch that was released a week or 2 ago.

it did fix a few bugs in the game.

Ahhh Nope cant say I have, I gather it will come up when I connect to the internet when I go into the game.

At the moment I'm moving the PS3 from the lounge to my room because I dont have a plasma soooo Ill probably hook it up in here after I come home from work.
