Okay, if you want upscaling to work, the pS3 needs to be connected to the TV via an HDMI cable. After that, you need to turn on the upscaler by going into Settings>DVD/BD>Upscaler

My parents-in-law have a 1080i upscaling dvd player on thier 1080i LG DLP 52" screen and it looks amazing, nevermind how good it would look in 1080p. So the Ps3 definitly upscales regular DVDs to 1080p? Thats excellent. I'll use the Ps3 just for that then grab maybe Heavenly Sword, FFXIII, DMC4 and God of War 3.

I use the normal seting. as Full will strech any 4:3 content out to 16:9 wich can cause it to look a bit wonky but either one works fine.
