PS3 News \ Gran Turismo 5 Prologue Update Coming This Week

Gran Turismo 5: Prologue will feature a new update on August 1, 2008 as announced by Sony.

The update will include the Gran Turismo TV feature, which allows gamers to view various automobile shows from all around the world, which will be either free or pay-per-view.

Pay-Per-View content will cost 0.99 USD for the first two weeks, but then will go to a fixed rate at 1.99 USD from then after.

The update also includes various gameplay tweaks to the main game, such as fixed penalty judgments, more tire choices for Time Trial and improved collision physics during online play

This update was never going to have cars, tracks or damge it was mainly a gt-tv, online capabilities and performance point update.

Weather, damage, tracks and cars are all believed to be part of the much talked about fall (our spring) update.

GT5 is not looking to be released until 2010.

damn it i didnt think it was gonna be good but i thought it would at least be OK ffs.......if this is their attempt at appeasing us after saying "we're not currently working on GT5 because of improvements to prologue" or whatever it was they bloody well said to give us the impression that the supercaladelaytasticness of the full game would probably run another 2 years......i say attempt failed, DONT try again, just get to work on finishing the full bloody game
