PS3 News \ Call of Duty 6 Coming in 2009

CEO of Activision Bobby Kotick, has announced that there will be "an all-new Call of Duty" will be set for released in the 2009.

Treyarch are currently developing Call of Duty: World at War for 2008, but next year's all new Call of Duty will be from Infinity Ward. Bobby Kotick stated that the all new Call of Duty will be released "utilizing our leapfrog studio strategy." Though at this time we are not sure what studio they will utilize. Whether its the Call of Duty 4 engine or they builds a new one from scratch.

Are you high? World at War isn't the official continuation in the Call of Duty series. Hence why its called "Call of Duty: World at War". If it were actually the next installment in the series, it would say "Call of Duty 5: World at War". Based on what you're saying, Call of Duty: Big Red One on the PS2 was an official installment into the series. If that were the case, Call of Duty 4 would actually be Call of Duty 5. World at War is a filler. A "spin-off" if you will. Plain and simply, it is not officially Call of Duty 5.

I.W fanboys need to check themselves, Cod3 was superior in every way to Cod2. It ran smoother online then Cod4 (you could actually play against people from other countries) plus there were vehicles and the maps were actually *gasp* creative.

The online performance of Cod5 is the most important aspect to me, the precedent was set with Cod4 for short boring single player campaigns. So I'm not expecting much from the missions, still the co-op play that was hinted at and the fact that the events are based on real battles give an edge over the lame terror!sts with nukes crap.
