PS3 News \ Far Cry 2 coming to Australia, Mid-October
Ubisoft have announced today that Far Cry 2 has been dated for release in-stores in Australia Mid-October, 2008
If you don't know what will be included in this game, then here's some information for you.
The players will be able to ally with anyone he/she chooses. Instead of using the individual maps, the game will take place in a sprawling nondescript land in Africa, with the the land ranging from Savannah too the jungle.
Various factions and vehicles will be featured in the game, enemies will include human mercenaries, but sci-fi creatures such as the mutants from Far Cry will not be featured in this. Weather systems have been added that varies the weather based on the players ability, if the player is doing exceptionally well the sky will be clear and sunny, but if problems arise the sky will become dark and stormy
There will be more realistic features such as the player using a map and compass to get around, also more life and death related features such as having to use tools to dig bullets out of the boy and pat themselves down when on fire. The weapons will disintegrate over time, adding grimmer looks to them, and eventually causing them to jam. Animals also could distract the enemy and make them well aware of your presence. There will be zebras, wildebeest, gazelle, buffalo, impala, Gemsbok and such.

PC of course. Personally, im not expecting this to be near as good as far cry/crysis. Mainly because they have planned on making this for consoles and then ported it to pc
