Are you kidding me?? I played the **** out of NHL 08 and it was awesome and i found no issues with online play!! Every aspect of 09 has improved, well from playing the demo it seems that way. Be-a-Pro adds a whole new dimension to the game and i found it to be a great inclusion after playing this mode, after being sceptical when it was announced.

The whole idea of Be-a-Pro is for you to do well regardless of your teammates and its extremely possible for eg. I played as the Penguins and lost 4-3 in a shootout but i scored highly because of the way i played. Its gonna be challenging starting out in the AHL and having to try and get up to the NHL especially sfter the producers have said it can take anywhere from 10 games to achieve this.

I realise this is just your opinion and im giving mine, but IMO this game ****s all over o8. And the skill stick now being used in defence is a very nice touch especially adding to realism with stick lifting now included...looks great

Anyways, this is just my 2 cents worth and cant wait for my copy to arrive around the 15th Sept!!

Can someone please change the OZ release date to the 25th September please??

I've got NHL 08, and although 08 its buggy as online, other than that its pretty damn perfect ice hockey game (as long as u use Classic controls that is).

So i played the new demo and i can say i find nothing good enough about it thats gunna make me buy it. Be a Pro mode which i'm guessin EA is betting on it being a big thing is in my eyes, ****house. Its frustrating playing as just one of the players and feels like your playing in a real-life ****ty team sport because you don't control how others play and how good they are. Controlling the whole team is the only way to go, and that means just normal play.

For me.. well i'm gunna wait until ultimate graphics combined with good in-game physics use and a simple & fast control system are all combined in a hockey game.. then i'll upgrade from '08!
