It's basically a PG rated hangout place where you can talk to your ps3 buddies.
You make an apartment and buy furniture for it and if you have a TV, you can view things on your ps3, of what people have on their ps3. Eg: If Melad had a trailer on his HD and i wanted to watch it, I'd go in his house and could watch it through HOME.
You can play games like bowling and pool and just talk!

Chat using Keyboard & Mouse or Bluetooth Headset all seem to work quite well...

I'm not too sure if we can have Tea Parties, but what people have been doing in Home is having like "Dance" parties, where a group of 'em would gather around 1 guy who is "broadcasting" music via his Bluetooth Headset and the rest of 'em dance

Yup. It's currently being Beta Tested, but supposed to release sometime in October.

Pool is like other iterations I have played of it (as official games), so all the appropriate controls seem to be there. Bowling is also fairly standard, but looks very nice
