News \ Final Fantasy VII remake still a possibility?
When Square-Enix teased and mocked the gaming public with that amazing Final Fantasy VII demo back in 2005, the FF community has long preyed for a remake of one of the greatest games of all time.
We've all preyed...and waited, but still we've been constantly left in the dark at any such possibility.
However now, executive producer of the upcoming Crisis Core for PSP stated that there is "subtle intentions" for a FF:VII remake however the only thing holding back an actual decision is the extensive work being put into Final Fantasy XIII.
He then went on to the say that a decision could be made "at any time", which only further aims to please FF fans, as the decision to make Crisis Core was made in only a matter of days.
It may not be something to get totally excited about, but it does show slight interest on the project from deep within the Final Fantasy creation team.

i loved the materia system i think it was the best system of all the final fantasys. i hope it stays.

I'd loooove an vii remake... but am also looking forward to xiii / vs... both look great.
And yes, crossdressing cloud, I'd love to see the summons again... just imagine how would knights of the round look like in full hd and movielike grafix *drool* I hope they keep the same system even if they do have to change some things... like materia and all...

yeah cool thanks... I would LOVE to see cloud in a dress.... lol that would be soo funny with the new graphics.... also I would love to see that don corneo get threatened by aerith, cloud and tifa... that would be soo funny also they should keep everything the same.... do u think they would keep all the stuff with him(Don corneo)...??? he's kinda of suggestive.... because now that they can make then speak they would have to at some point make Cid or barret swear lol that would be soo funny..

i kinda hope they change stuff. it is possible to make something great better. but keep the story line. dont mess with the details.

If they did do a remake i dont think they would cut anything out, but they might stock extra stuff in like more chocobo tracks to race on and extra gold saucer stuff. but it will be interesting to see if they actauly do remake it or not.

A part of me wants a remake of FF7, but another part of me doesn't. 
I'm worried that it would be changed too much. That some of the places and parts would be cut out completely (I would love to see Cloud cross-dressing again, but with better graphics lol ).

I kinda want them to make a remake but... they don't change anything.. exept that vincent and yuffie aren't optional characters and they are in the final FMV scene... that sucks lol.... but i'm definatly wanting it now cause i now have a PS3 lol...
Just bring out Crisis core first lol

the picture u got is from ffXIII not VII. all well.
i hope they do it would be great to play VII in full HD remade. kinda like playing twin snakes for GC after playing mgs on ps1, but way better.

Read this the other day. This article makes it sounds alot more likely than when I read it.
The thing is, Square have so much on their plate at the moment and they dont have time to even think about remaking FFVII. I honestly dont care, I would rather a new game than a remake.
