no the memory stick format has 2 sizes the origanl longer memory stick and the smaller memory stick Duo size the addator allows the smaller duo to fit into devices (like the ps3) wich only take the lager orginal stick size.

I have memory stick duos for my PSP and use my adapter to plug them in to my PS3 to transfer music/pics/videos...A friend said to me though that you can just put the duo with out the adapter in your PS3..Is this true?

On another note I got a (fake i believe) sony 4gb card off ebay, and it works fine, but it does transfer slower than the authentic product which is worth knowing if you're lookign at them.

I'm considering lashing out for an 8gb card, I may even but two one for my sony walkmen phone and one for the ps3. I think I may have to consider this if down the track I decide to keep all my demos and trailers

yeh i have a fake 2gig duo of ebay it trasfers a little slower but it dosnt realy worry me only paid $80 when they were worth about $200

So it does fit... I haven't really tried maybe I'll give it a go next time I transfer some data. Luckly none of my MSs are fake but thats cause I don't buy stuff like that of ebay. I've seen a good price on an 8gb MS its only £80 - £90 not sure what that is in Aus$ but is pretty cheap for over here in the UK.

dont try puting your duo in the ps3 cause it might get stuck i put my duo in my laptops card reader and its ment for a normal memory stick and i had to use tweasers to get it out (also recked the card reader in the process but i valed the card more)
