I got my copy of the tv series Damages today from Amazon, and it plays on an Australian PS3.
Actually surprised me as TV series are normally regioned more heavily than movies and also it's a Sony release who I didn't think did rgion free.
Picture quality is pretty fantastic, and also has a good feature were the blu-ray player can remember which episode and where in the episode you got up to on the previous viewing.

Errr yeah mate...who gives a crap about Hd dvd. Were in a blu ray thread right plus hd dvd died.
And yeah...2001 and shining came out AGES ago in the US and were meant to be released here in December...until they were delayed.
So YEAH...our aussie releases suck

It doesn't matter that first blood and T2 are on HD DVD because toshiba has dropped production for the microsoft backed HD DVD so they are guaranteed to be released on blue ray. Glad to see Sony won this round since their last in the VHS vs Beta max.
