No, you are right there, It's not a prove sony wrong thread... but it IS a "I'm pi55ed off with USELESS forced firmware updates that cost me money for no good reason" thread, and I'm entitled to voice that.

The fact is, someone stated that this firmware increases compatibility - and i was just asking for some proof. Surely Sony would have announced this increase in PS1/2 compatibility if it was the case, as they did in every other instance?

The fact that they released this firmware update with NO pre-release update hoo-hah tells me that this is nothing but hidden bug fixes.
