No that is incorrect , he may be out of contract but he can not choose which club , he can request a club & IF the eagles can make a deal they will , if they cant then he goes into the draft & Carlton has first pick & will get him for nothing , Eagles wont let him go for nothing so they will do a deal with Carlton before the draft, that is of course only if Judd agrees to Carltons terms. If the eagles, Judd & another club dont come to terms he goes into the draft where the team with the first pick (Carlton) will pick him. AFL does not allow players to go to any club of their choosing, it must be through the draft or by clubs trading. Check your facts. So basically any club can get Judd but first they must deal with the eagles, the eagles will want the number 1 draft pick for him so Carlton will be favorites.

No eagles can't get any draft picks if the player is free then how can there be any strings attached. your right on one thing tho he may have to go into the draft

Stonecold Im not being a smarty pants here but your wrong, the eagles can get draft picks or another player for Judd even when uncontracted but thats only if the eagles , Judd & another club can come to agreement, if they dont then he goes into the draft , its that simple. Judd can ask to be traded to Collingwood but if the eagles dont agree on a fair trade then Judd has to try & find another club he wants the eagles to trade with or try his chances in the draft. If he goes into the draft the team with number 1 pick will pick him & at the moment thats Carlton if they dont trade that pick away.

Judd is the best player in the league in my opinion , the only other player that comes close is Johnathon Brown but im biased as I go for the Lions but he is pretty damm good too. I honestly didnt think Judd would leave the Eagles, the better Melbourne clubs will have trouble fitting him in the salary cap or arranging a suitable trade with the eagles so it will mostly be a lower Melbourne club like Carlton, Richmond or Melbourne that can afford to pay him & have the trade picks to keep the eagles happy in a trade. Why would he want to play for any of those teams , they have no chance of success anytime soon.

yeah i remember the game against lions where he kicked 5 amazing goals and was unstopable.

judd can easily say to west coast wer he goes.. cause he is out of contract he can just say to easle if u dont trade to wer i want to go ill just go into the draft, or simply say he will retire (just a threat)
