I'm in a bit of a predicament. I have a Panasonic TX-86PW200A which is HD at 1080i and 480p (not 720p). Unfortuantly, the television only outputs that signal at 50hz without any ability, driver or upgrade to change that (believe me, I've been through thick and thin with panasonic).

Where this sucks is that the XBOX 360 outputs 1080i at 60hz only and therefore whenever I choose 1080i in the 360 settings, the picture is all fuzzy and unusable which sucks because the television is actually really good and has a perfect picture when I watch HD TV.

So, I'm stuck at playing my games at 420p (and therefore whenever I'm reviewing a game I have to either play it at Roy's or my cousins for a while to judge the graphics fully).

My question is, if anyone knows, will a PS3 be useable at 1080i on my television??? Does anyone know if it outputs 1080i at 50hz?

I'm not sure but I dont think so. Every time I've used the PS3 and selected imput info on my TV it has said either 720p or 1080i (depending on my settings), but always 60Hz.
