Hi, my name is Red from Melbourne and I'm a newbie. bought my PS3 last night from harvey norman for $687. It came as a bundle pack with F1 (my choice from the 4 available) and charger dock for the controller.
Haven't had it for more than 24hrs and I'v already purchased 4 games (Transformers,Juice 2, Tony Hawk & Uncharted). Can't wait to get home to play the last 2.

By way of intro, I'm a 41 year old recent convert from PC gaming to PS3. Loving the lack of time needed to maintain a gaming PC and refreshing the whole thing every ~2yrs for ~$2500.

Purchased my 40Gb PS3 in late October 2007 (I think), 'laundering' it past the dear wife as a Xmas present. I then sleazily convinced her to let me open it late November.

I love it. Put in a fair bit of research before buying, and I like the way it is engineered. I reckon it's got a fair bit of longevity too.
