Optus/Telstra = bad companies, stay away..
dingoboy unless you're close to the exchange I wouldn't get it..
also apparently that 1.5mb internet is still one of the best for gaming, better then 8mb and 24 mb. the speed doesn't matter cuz theres like a cap. it isnt like ur gonna get like 50 ping in usa servers.
anyway, check out how far you are from the exchange then decide whether to get it. if you don't do this u'll regret it alot cuz you won't get the full speed.
cable is pretty good for gaming though.
so heres a summary:
Stay away from companies such as: optus, bigpond (telstra), dodo.
adsl+2 speeds vary depending on how far you are from the exchange
1.5mb adsl is excellent for gaming
internode is the best gaming/best quality isp out there
