Don't be soo silly the league is even look at the ladder for one then the results of just last week. Aussie talent is always going to goto "greener pastures" as they all want to play in Europe, it's their dream, sure they might start playing here untill they are in their early 20's but the thing is they are going to go, and the A-League needs to have a decent youth set-up to ensure these players are continualy replaced.

Scrapping the salary cap would ruin the game, you would have Sydney and Melbourne comming first each season and other teams would go bankrupt trying to keep up.

Not true, Sydney have already said Juniniho will be the last Marquee player they buy. Hardly different to what other teams have done like Newcastle with Jardel, Mariners with Aloisi ect ect.

But in saying that Melbourne are the best run club in the league and are the envy of it's compeitors, shame results didn't work out for you on the pitch this year.

Sydney for premiership number 2!

I'm off the band wagon with Melbourne anyway, sick of all the VIS players, it's so one minded. Their play has become boring to watch, no real game plan, no wingers... just chuck a skillful, but headless, striker up front and we have our game down pat.

Bring on the next Melbourne team, i just hope that it's not South Melbourne.

Newcastle will have to lose the next two games, which I think is unlikely. YOu never know, but I think Melbourne and Adelaide's seasons are officially over.

I was watching The World game on Sunday, they've got a new host, speaking to Ante Covic, Newcastles last 2 games are against Central Coast and Perth. The host goes, "So what do you think your chances are against the Mariners? Obviously you don't have to worry about Perth in the last round..." I lol'd hard. Stupid considering teams stuff up against lower sides all the time in the A-League, especially considering its the last round.

At least Queensland didn't win it, sorry Roar fans but if you boys won it that would of been so injust as both finals legs there were hand balls in the box that should have been given spot kicks, in saying that I think Central Coast were verrrry unlucky not to win it.

Anyone else think that ownder or ceo or whatever from Newcastle is a total prat for holding up the trophy with the players, seriously, let the players share it with the fans, and get off the stage you nobody!

I highly doubt that Melbourne Scum will win the Champions League aye, Sydney played the best football seen by any A-League side in their Champions League games and only just missed out making the knockout stages.

Then again we know what Melbourne are capable of (06/07 Final), they were playing fantastic football coming into the end of the season, but that was mainly due to not having any pressure for a result since they had no realistic chance of making the finals.

Also would be going with my fiancee so everything is then double, we just got back from a weekend in Sorrento where we spent a fair bit so I might aswell take advantage of my foxtel & watch from the comfort of home. Im not a huge soccer (football) fan anyways but like to keep up with whats happening with the Victory, just a sports fan in general. I dont think they will win the league either, some of the asian teams have spent more money on getting players just for this competetion than Victory does for an entire season.
