Well according to SCEA, PS3 reached 3.9 million units in North America, a region it has had less success in then say Japan/Europe, great news to see PS3 start 08 on such a promising sales figure.

Thats true, but then again, it is a much cheaper machine, for the price PS3 still has, its doing really well i reckon
