this is another nothing really do do with anything thread... last night i didn't realise but i was hosting for about 4 hours... whats the difference between hosting and joining a room? i did however go from level 4 to level 17 or something... and averaging kills up amung the level 25-40's 
...

Well, i believe when you Host Everyone has to Connect to your game that you made, and when you Just "Join" a room you are joining a game someone else has made.
Or if you meant if you are host and wanted to know if you get any boost in XP I have no idea, don't own cod 4.

I read that the US? version has host migration?

There is no way to actually straight up host a ranked game in Call of Duty 4, you can host a private game how ever all you do is go to the Private Match option.
The only way i've found to get hosting your own Ranked game is good timing.. ie: Keep searching till you end up on a fresh server because others are full. That will then be the game your hosting and you will know because once you connect it will be just your name in the list and the first one or two who connect will have the name "Matched Player". The only problem with this is you can't controll whos connected as its a public ranked server.
In regards to XP, no you dont get a bonus for being a host you just get no lag.

nick is myt first name, i was reading that and was confused for like 5 minutes... anyway, thanks for all your help... i was out all weekend but tomorrow night ill be on... i think hosting rank games is completely random. on a side note. i fricken hate it when its counting down to a game and you know how it auto sorts the teams... it puts like, a bigger amount of ppl all with way better ratings and stats. i have NO friends on cod4... i just go on and play... someone add me and invite me, or post your names up here and ill invite yous...
