The only thing i dont like about these Bravia's are their low contrast ratio's. Compare it to a 5000:1 Samsung LCD and it looks kind of dull.
Their picture is alot sharper and better though. (so it should be for the high price tag)

You bought a TV without checking its specs first?
There's a distinct difference between what you're seeing and what they want you to see.
Firstly, Samsung's 5000:1 contrast ratio is the DYNAMIC contrast ratio - that is the common marketing tool. The ACTUAL contrast ratio that we can see (STATIC contrast ratio) on the Samsung is around 1200:1
Sony on the other hand, has a 7000:1 DYNAMIC contrast ratio, and 1500:1 STATIC contrast ratio.
So in the end, it's the marketing tool that tricked everyone into believing the "10 000:1" and "8000:1" contrast ratios - they are only DYNAMIC contrast ratios.
Hope I've cleared that up for you.
