Considering only a handful of people here have had issues I'd say that's pretty accurate.

Hopefully ill get it before cod4 dlc and GTA4
i told the sales rep id be F***** pissed if i dont and he agreed

I felt the same, I was tempted to get mine repaired because its my console...you do get attached. Like you though I couldn't stand a 4 - 6 week wait.

When its out of warranty i'll be going to my local modder or beetronix to fix it.

the worst thing is, just before i sent it away i tested it once more with cod4.. Realising afta i sent it, i left the damn disc inside and they reckon that its gonna take another 1 week for me to get the game back and thats if they own up to having recieved it

So just letting you all know, I chose a refurb console that was meant to take 2 weeks instead of fixing mine that would take 4 weeks.
As you can see it's going to take 3 - 4 WEEKS ANYWAY!!!

Not overly happy but hey what can you do...
So just letting you know, anyone thinking it'll be quicker than repairing your own console, clearly its not.

They then told me that they only get deliveries from australia post when there are a certain amount of ps3s are waiting to be sent to them. So your ps3 could be sitting with aus post for a few days before it gets to sony. i found this hard to belive but thats what they said. Anyway looks like i'll be waiting a few weeks yet which is ****ed cause GTAIV is coming out before i'll get it back as well as the new PS3 store which isnt that bad but i still want to look at it right now not in a few weeks time. Talk about ****ed timing for my ps3 to **** its self.
