What do you think my chances are ??

Purchased a Logitech G25 wheel from DSE $298 today.

Was told that the wheel I own (Logitech MOMO Racing Force) on various forums wasnt compatible with the PS3.
DoraDora on a myps3 thread is reporting that it does work with GT5P www.myps3.com.au/

If I can confirm this tonight when I get home from work, would I be able to ask for a refund from DSE as I wont need or want the G25 as I really prefer the feel of the MOMO wheel.

From my receipt at DSE powerhouse:

"We offer 14 day change of mind return policy in addition to your statutory rights. This provides you with the opportunity to exchange or refund items within 14 days of the date of purchase if you change your mind. To be entitled, you must provide proof of purchase and the item must be in an unmarked, original condition including all packaging and supplied components."

So fingers crossed you haven't opened it yet, if so, you should be all good.

DSE in NZ have a 2 week thing, like if you buy an aerial or modem, and it turns out you don't need it, and its saleable, you can get your money back (well, let's just say i can't see why not)

well DoraDora said they were using it with GT5P for the last few days so I'll test on that first, reported that the wheel & paddles worked but not the gearshifter, aslong as the paddles works then that will do, I mainly wanted the wheel for GT5, if the MOMO only works with GT5 & not the other driving games I have then Id still return the G25.

Did you manage to get the gearshifter to work ? Got any more driving games you can test.

EDIT: Sorry about the double post, my bad.

I'll see if I can get the shift working and try it out with Juiced 2.

You shouldn't have a problem getting a return, just explain the situation, as long as you havn't opened it you should be fine.

The MOMO wheel feels heaps better than the G25, thicker & the wheel just feels nice IMO. Ive been using the MOMO on the PC for 3 years & im used to it, the G25 is I admit proberly far superior quality but do I really need to spend $300 if I was happy with the wheel I had. If I had known it worked I wouldnt even considered getting another one.

Doesn't work in Juiced 2.

GT5 works fine, except only paddles not stick shift. Force feedback works great. Pedals, paddles, FF and wheel no problem.

Hmmm now that leaves me with a choice to make, keep the G25 because it will also work with most of my other driving games or return it & only use MOMO wheel for GT5P. I dont really play Sega Rally & MotorStorm much now but just got Burnout Paradise, GT5P & also have F1 & MX vs ATV: Untamed which I play often so gonna have to check all the manuals to see which are supported then I'll decide. What would you all do ?

Ill test all my racing games as I dont have Juiced 2 , so it might be some games will work & some wont.

So MOMO does work with GT5? Anyone else able to verify this?
Does it work with other PS3 games?

keep the G25 for sure and enjoy mis-shifting cos its the best feeling of losing by .4 of a second due to shifting to 5th when you wanted 3rd

Well this is what I discovered about the Logitech MOMO Racing Force Feedback Wheel.

GT5P: Working fine except gearshifter doesnt work only paddle shift. (G25 supported)
Sega Rally: Working fine except gearshifter doesnt work only paddle shift. (G25 ahould be supported too then)
F1: Supports wheels but not the MOMO (G25 supported)
Burnout Paradise: Supports wheels but not the MOMO (maybe G25, none listed in manual but in options has a wheel feedback on/off option)
MX vs ATV: Untamed: No wheels supported in options.
MotorStorm: No wheels supported in options.

PS2 Games
V8 Supercars3: MOMO Wheel works fine, both gearshifter & paddles supported. (G25 should be supported too then)
GT4: Supports wheels but not the MOMO (maybe G25)

So thats leaves me again with the decision, do i return the unopened G25 & get my $298 back or do I keep the G25 so i can have wheel support also for Burnout Paradise & F1. At the moment Im leaning towards returning it but using a wheel in F1 & Burnout would be nice also.

Ive also posted this in the GT5 thread & MOMO wheel thread.
