How come a lot of people don't purchase certain games just because the graphics aren't stunning or haven't been improved?

The new Chimeras called the Grims remind me of the Leapers. Come in huge numbers and come out at you fast!
I see they changed the Bullseye as well. Game looks way more kick ass than ever!

I think the graphics will be better than resistance 1... although I haven't seen gameplay footage of resistance 2. Still another 5 months to tweak the graphics even if it only looks marginally better at the moment.
