Well i bought my PS3 today and my Sony Bravia but when i went to the PSN
it said i had to update i said fair enough but 121mbs worth when im looking at it? so... can you update with any games like on a PSP?

Yeah I think you can update off games but I doubt they will have the latest one on it, which is what you'll need to access PSN

Everything on the ps3 to put on is a heck of a lot mate. I dont think you update the system off the games. But dont worry. It will take a long time but it is worth it i guess.

I can confirm that the latest update isnt on them disks as i own both of them, Your best chance is to just download it

yeah if they're new enough. you can also download the update from pc to a usb stick and install it that way

yep. i meant that the 2.16 that came with GT5p is the newest you could upgrade with from the game. 2.17 and 2.20 have both been released since then, but a lot of Aussies are having problems with the downloads
