You seem to be under the impression that because the Wii has lots of kiddy ps2 port BS from lazy developers, that it musn't have any qualitry games. I am very picky on games, and i have fairly high standards too. Not for graphics obviously, but the game has to be lengthy, challenging and enjoyable. Its pretty easy to avoide the crap games and buy the good ones, all consoles have thier bad games, just dont buy them. I've got:
Zelda: Twilight Princess (amazing game, better controls/graphics than GC version)
Res Evil 4 (as above, better controls and graphics than the GC)
Tony Hawk Downhill Jam (i didn't think it would work well, but its the best)
Wii Sports
Mario Strikers Charged Football (crazy fun, good online)
DBZ Tenkaichi 3 (big fan of dbz, this is the best one)
MK Armageddon (i let my standards slip a little to get the best MK game since MK4)
Metal Slug Anthology (always good fun)
Super Paper Mario (unique approach to the Mario franchise, very good game)
Guitar Hero 3
Metroid Prime 3 (10/10, best console fps controls)

That list doesn't even include the other 25 games split between the A+ titles on the Gamecube and Virtual Console that i have. I LOL at people who buy a Wii and buy the crap games then complain the Wii is crap, i hear it all the time. Do the research, find out what really is good, and buy those games. All of mine are purchase-worthy goodness. If i can find 35 games on the Wii (including VC/GC) that are purchase worthy with my high-standards, than the Wii must be doing pretty well for itself. That doesn't even include other games i want like:

Sonic and the Secret Rings

Games, by and large are about PERSONAL PRERFERENCE. I'll agree that the wii has plenty of decent games, certainly worthy of purchase, BUT they're just not my kind of games, end of story.

thats cool. but for someone like me i can't miss out on some of the games like super smash brothers brawl, mario kart wii, zelda etc..
super smash brothers brawl just looks insane.

PS: if you buy a wii.. the best way to own a wii is to chip it 
free games, earlier release dates.

That's because it's a load of crap... guys, I really don't see how Rockstar "screwed" Microsoft, considering the 360 was their lead platform AND the amount of extra content the 360 version is getting over the PS3...

Thats exactly right. This ONLY benefits people around the time of the GTAIV launch who dont have either a 360 OR Ps3 and want the free Ps3 version over the superior 360 version. With the world in financial crysis, it's probably only going to be the people who already own a 360 or Ps3 who will want to buy the game, rather than people who don't have either rushing out to buy the free Ps3 version with an expensive console. Its a great deal, but it is nowhere near as big of a deal as you all might expect.

That does make sense i guess. I'll be a PsWii owner by the end of the year. I'd like to get myself a 1080p TV first. I'm stuck on a dodgy non-flat 68cm tube TV at the moment cause i moved out of the in-laws and thier awesome 52" screen with surround sound. Blu-Ray, and more to the point, Upscaled DVD, is really something i want to get into but i wont bother making the move till i've got the TV to make it worth it. Besides, my gaming budget is already stretched between my awesome PC and Wii, juggling another console will be tough, especially with a dozen Wii titles i am yet to buy this yr on top of the dozen i have. I need another job

I do totally agree, it is what you enjoy that matters. The only issue i have is such. I was playing Metroid Prime 3 yesterday, the 2nd playthrough on Veteran difficulty, marvelling at how good the game looks without needing HD cause the artistic direction is so beautiful, and how perfect the FPS controls are for that game, and i was wishing i was a multibillionaire so i could buy everyone who owns only a Ps3/360 a Wii and they could experiance how good the games is. I simply feel sorry for people missing out on Metroid Prime 3, RE4, Zelda: Twilight Princess and Super Paper Mario simply because they are such good games and i dont want anyone missing out on that experiance. I know all consoles have thier good games, but honestly, a lot of Ps3/360 games play no differently to thier Xbox/Ps2 counterparts. They are still great games, and look amazing in HD, but are nothing new. I may get on here a lot and post pro-wii crap all the time, but it is only because i dont want ANY gamer to miss out on the (few i know) quality titles available on the Wii that really utilise the motion controls to drastically enhance the whole experiance. I just want everyone to experiance the awesome games i've played, that is all. Its a shame that many Ps3/360 owners have shunned the Wii for it's graphical abilites and wont experiance the excellent games available.

I had a wii, and played all the top wii games. I'd only consider zelda tp and re4 wii on par with the top xbox 360 games. The rest don't even come remotely close.
I'd rather a ps3/360 combo, I have no need for a wii.

I have a few mates that have bought the PS3 over the last few weeks just because GTAIV is coming out...... they are going to be very unhappy if the buddle happens

Moral to the story it isn't really going to help ship units. Most people already know which console they want, it would be ignorant to say that this bundle is going to make people who wanted a 360 forget all about it and spent extra money on a PS3. Point of the matter is most families and gamers will buy a 360 due to better and more titles, the PS3 has hardly any games, most of the are borken, and very few exclusives. Most ports (besides Cod 4) run far superior on the 360 than they do on the Ps3. Heavenly Sword and Uncharted are the only two games worth writing home about, hopefully Resistance 2 and MGS can change that along with Haze. Until them people are going to spend less buying a 360 and the game then getting the GTA IV PS3 bundle. They end up winning by not buying a PS3 right now
