PS3 Games \ GT5 Prologue update

I'm having some trouble downloading the update, I suspect my DSL connection is dropping out part way through (50% ls time). Is there either a way to continue the download instead of starting from scratch or can I download the patch onto a PC instead?

It worked for me just a few minutes ago. keep trying.
I dont like the way that all my car settings are changed back to default and i have to go to the options and re-configure the controls and other settings with every update. Oh well.... take the good with the bad i guess.

if all fails do what i did and leave everything on idle while downloading ie. pc and anything else connected to your modem. worked fine after that, and thats with all ps3 updates in my case as ive found that the fail % rate was higher when i browsed and did other stuff.

wonder why so many people are having problems with gt5 updates? i have updated first time every time and i have been playing cs or gunbound while it was downloading

well I started the download at midnight and there was no other machines behind my router at that point. It appears to be taking alot longer than 4 mins my connection is just under 5Mb. How big is the update?

Hey guys, whats the deal with the racing penaltys, in s class the AI cars always ram me & I always ending getting penelised 
, it is really starting to piss me off, PD better fix this flaw as it is really unfair.

Nice idea but the fact you get your engine cut as the penalty means you'll never get close to winning a race.

hehe, sometimes you get a collision penalty for that, what gets me is that they are never penilised no matter what.

If you're having trouble with updates the GT5 online guide suggests forwarding UDP port 3658 to your PS3.
My downloads kept failing but after the port forwarding its rock solid.

Hmmm I'm startign to get a bit sick of GT5P wish it didn't take so logn to earn money, there's probably 50 more cars to unloclk but that'll mean another 10 hours driving around Daytona lol
Wish you could race Eigerland and London unrestricted by car for more than 10,000 a race. I'm just continually racing Daytona and High Speed Ring.

Something I've noticed is that when updates for games and normal ps3 updates fail, you lose all your current progress which is rather annoying. Would be rather spiffy to be able to resume downloads and pause them. Makes sense no?
