My experience with online racing with gt5 has shown me there are a lot of dirty drivers out there!

Try leading into the first corner at suzuka the guy behind will tap you into the gravel! sure he gets a penalty but hes long gone before you can get out of the gravel.

And how about the sideswipe as you pull alongside to draft pass the guy in front. Its easy enough just tag me around the rear wheel and off i go bouncing off the wall (and getting penalized for hitting the wall and then again for short cutting as I try to regain the track) Cheats! I will not stoop to this unsporting behavior! I race fairly and still win races but I think they should eliminate collisions entirely to stop the dirty drivers

When I raced online in GT5 Prologue, I sometimes got penalised for actions I didn't even do, and I say they need to implement an option for users to set if they want time penalties for online races or not.

I bought the prologue for my dad, he enjoys playing online but it frustrates him when he's playing online because people make him hit walls and it penalises him.
Once he was coming 1st in the middle of the road just driving along and he got penalised for nothing, Would this be a glitch?

Think about it... most ppl have been brought up on the older GT's on their PS2. With no penalties, no damage.. etc.. in some races (unless you were a god) you NEEDED to push the ai outta the way.

The game has bred this driver mentality.

Lets just hope damage *is* implemented and not only a rumor, that should hopefully fix things to a point where online racing is fun.

gt5 will have friends only races so you can opt out of playing with randoms who drive like idiots

if you play in the right hours an you will be racing mainly aus , nz an japs , koreans etc ive found most to race as fair as possible it gets better the higher class race you enter if your still in the noobie races you will find nothing but knobs who crash into anyone an anything

I agree, mabye they should make it that when you are about to hit somone, it dosn't let you move any closer to them. Kinda like a protective barrier around each car

Got to disagree, Ive played countless hours of V8 Supercars online both on PS2 & PC & the game will not let you just go around & bash into everybody, ever heard of a black flag ?

V8's is the exception to the rule cause of the penalty system. Any game that dosnt have a collision penalty, has heaps of people who, either cant drive, or smash into you just for the reaction. The best way to avoid it is to turn collisions off, but not all games allow for that.

best thing is to have a 'buddy list' - only race with ppl you can trust.

Accidents DO happen, its part of racing.. so turning off collisions completely destroys the racing imo.

Thats the only way too go....... Online Console racing has a little way to go to get a life like race happining but hopefully its not too far away

www.racesimcentral.com i race in most there leagues in just about anything you can imagine as well as our private v8 australian nz league , my custom ****pit is on there also

what "Real" sims do you play ?

people drive like knobs all the time only differnce is on pc we control the servers an can remove them , maybe i should change my statment to in the majority of console racing games

perhaps that would be enough to stroke your ego ....
