Playstation 3 Software & Firmware \ Haze is it really that bad?

Ok I have been playing it since Thurs and to tell you the truth I actually really enjoy it. I didn't buy into all the hype and stuff so I wasn't dissapointed because I didn't expect anything. I think we have all been a little too spoilt with games like COD4 and Bioshock in the FPS genre lately that other games seem weak.

Not to say Haze isn't weak. The graphics could have been a bit better, but they aren't all bad. Smoke from explosions actually billow out like real smoke would in an open area with wind and the likes. Some of the lighting effect really do look amazing as you move further into the campaign also, but on the flip side there are some things that you just shake your head at and think why didn't they make it look even a TINY bit better here and there.

Voice work is rather average, except for "skin coat" who I think puts on a great performance, but overall stupid one liners that make you feel like you're back in highschool really bring the mood down.

Online is filthy good and single player isn't that bad. I will post a full review in the next day or two

like i said b4 the game even came out ,i dont care about the single player all i want is the multiplayer experience, and let me tell ALL of you haters of this game, the multi lives up to the hype. the maps are very well done the sides are totally different and the guns are all overpowered, if u went on the quality of the demo dont the demo was from 2006 so its pretty bad. and for the graphics they made there own engine from scratch people so cut them some slack also like i said on other posts the muliti makes the game. its so good i play it more than cod and yes i did play cod for 8 days so aint a noob. stop being haters and enjoy the awsomeness that is haze.

sure it has plenty of flaws, but its fun for a while, plus its got in-game psn messaging, ds3 compatibility.....lol, they really tried to add as many features as they could to try and save it huh.....yeah, well, i still dont reckon it deserves too much bashing

depends tank, im not taking it back, but i can afford it without worrying too much at the moment about any financial repurcussions.....only problem is its still freezing up my console every time i play online, and it keeps wiping all my stats completely. so im gonna swap it over for a different copy and see if it makes a difference

fun as....you can customise the controls to be exactly like cod4 (except for the nectar!) so you will feel comfortable automatically. in team assault mode there's 7 different maps with 14 different objectives, depending on which side you play, plus standard deathmatch and tdm. it will take a fair few hours just to try them all out!

Yeah I did not mind it at all.. All you unlock is a extra level which is "Extra Hard" which I will try.. But I will have to have a go at online. I have not ventured out to that yet..
EDIT: Next game I have to finish will be GTA IV
