A friend of mine on the PSN (from overseas) says that his friends can no longer download anything from Qore?? Is this true?
(they too have been using EntroPay to purchase and found that downloading on Qore no longer works!!)
Anybody else experience this?

Monthly or Annual subscription?
Kudos: 1,506

Not sure. But most likely Monthly!?
Does it matter? Or did they cut people doing it on a Monthly basis if you're not from the US?
And would that mean that if you subscribed for 1 year, you won't be able to do it again next year??

Was he trying to download the Qore content via his Australian PSN account, or his American? Needs to be the American one ...

After 12 months of Qore, you can get no more Qore ... you just purchase another annual subscription ... or am I misunderstanding something.

This guy is from Europe, he said that he's got Episode 1 & 2 and his friends says that they can't download the rest!! Not sure if he's using his US account (but if that's the only way to get it, then he must be). They're also subscribing on a monthly basis. I'll ask him tonight to see what account they're using. Thanks though, I'll get back to this later. (he's friends claim 'entropay' is no longer working to make purchases of Qore!

Entropay no longer an option on PSN
September 12th, 2008
Those of you hoping to grab yourself a copy of Qore, or purchase anything else on the US PSN whilst not actually having a US credit card, can colour yourselves disappointed. Apparently, the virtual Visa Card issuer Entropay no longer works in Sony’s online shop.
A member of the EU Playstation Boards has posted the following mail which he received from Entropay after realising the service no longer worked.
Dear XXXXXXX
We apologise for the inconvenience.
Although our cards accepted by a vast majority of online merchants, please note Playstation has changed their payment mechanism and is unable to process payments with prepaid cards.
Any pre-authorisations you have should be refunded within 6 working days.
Should you require any further assistance please do not hesitate to contact us.

Try purchasing anything from the US PS Store using EntroPay and let us know, it shouldn't hurt 'cos you won't get anything!
There is 'no reason' for Sony to deny non-US residing credit/debit cards, but they have and now EntroPay is also denied for non-US credit cards. The only reason I can think of for Sony to deny us buying stuff from the US Store is to stop us getting stuff cheaper than our own store!

Which is bull****...We should be able to buy from any store OR each store have the same stuff. Sony hates Australia.

That's sad news indeed
Fortunately, one of the comments was if you registered your Entropay card with PSN before this came into effect, your card will still work. And it does - I managed to recharge my wallet with $5 again last night using Entropay.
Now I'm afraid it will no longer work when my Entropay card expires in 04/09. I'm hoping when that time comes Entropay will just issue me a new expiry date, and not a new card number.

So is that the cause now? Future Entropay users no longer works, but people who have already started using it ... and continue using it?
Hmm, like you ... I'm slightly worried about the Entropay expiry date now ...
