Zipper Interactive, the developers of all previous SOCOM titles, are also working on their own installment for the PlayStation 3. Unlike Confrontation, it will feature both single player and mutiplayer modes, and the extra development time will also give them the opportunity to work on new features for the game. According to Seth Luisi, SOCOM 4 will be a "drastic departure from the current game."
Also, the EB price of $49.95 kinda gives the feeling it's a multiplayer game online as well.
