Don't know what to make of MGO yet though - played it a few times and although I get sucked into it its too much run n gun for my liking. Didn't expect it to be that way but then again I never played beta release so I didn't know what to expect. No teamwork either in any of the games that I played - maybe an AUF game would fix that

I think this is why mgs is either a love or hate thing I know for a fact that the L O N G cutscene/codec convo's put a lot of people off. Oh and don't tell me to just skip the cutscenes, thats like watching a movie you've seen before and skipping to the next chapter...

So pretty much so far, GREAT game though it seems like i've watched more cutscenes than actually taken control of snake. Some nice laughs in it too so far!

MGS has always been a cinematic experience. If you don't like the cutscenes, you don't really like MGS.

But its all good... i dont mind them, i just wish there wasnt so many of them in MGS4, and was on par with say the original in that respect.

So far the game has been excellent (best cinematic experience). I'm still getting used to the gameplay though (note: i only played MGS1 before). Just wondering but what are you supposed to do when you're in alert mode? Kill the bad guys then hide or hide straight away?
I guess should be combination of both, right?
All in all, i'm liking the gameplay too (it gets better as you progress through the game)

U can do both or either.....if u hide straight away, the reinforcements will go away when Alert counts down to 0....if you decide to kill them - get them before they call HQ. If you kill only some, the others will generally call more reinforcements when they find dead bodies.....
