I hope you get a copy soon, Mobe.
I'll probably get mine a while after it's realised though (need to pay back my credit card O_O ).
From what I've heard so far the music in SH Origins is just as great as the other soundtracks.

But that damned cage shadow thing was tough.

I saw the exact date for the soundtrack the other day, but I can't quite remember when it was. lol It'll be easy to find though.

*EDIT*
I found this with a quick google search.
The official, original soundtrack for Silent Hill: Origins, composed by Akira Yamaoka, is scheduled to be released in Japan on January 25, 2008.

Thanks. I can't find anyone with it for preorder still. I now have the Japanese catalog number for it too. LC1627. Grr. I'll let you know if / when I find it. I hope it isn't only available through the Konami style website.

Edit: Play Asia have it for preorder, so not an exclusive. Phew. I wonder why AmazonJP, HMVJP, CDJapan, and TowerJP don't list it. AmazonJP I can understand as they are so slow getting anything listed...

And I've got Silent Hill Origins too!!!! I haven't finished it yet though (got up to the nut house, but got killed by a shadow in a rusted cage thing ).

The Silent Hill movie was crap. I won't go into detail about my opinins in here though.

The rusted cage thing. Yeah, I just kept blasting away at it. I tend to be frugal with the firearms in survival horrors as I'm so burnt from some where you run out. So I have plenty for boss fights. I keep hoping some boss fights will be like pyramid head where you just avoid him until the siren goes... Then I end up having a tonne of ammo at the end now. (Except for the XFiles game - I got stuck pretty late in that game as I had not enough ammo to beat a boss). Grrrrr.

Next year on the origins soundtrack eh. Wierd, you think they would try to release it before or in conjunction with the game. There were some good new tracks on it too.

Forbidden Siren 3 eh? Cool.

Can't wait for SH5 though. After playing Origins, I have now got a renewed interest... I am nervous around mirrors now... SH4 turned me off somewhat and I never got around to finishing it.

Cherrona - you didn't like the film? I thought it captured the essence pretty well. The only thing that really didn't sit well with me was the amount of people in the church part. More people than in all the games put together.

There 3min is a gameplay vid for SH5 on SH5net

silenthill5.net/

The audio voiceover is in German though. I could pick up bits. I think they say it is for release in 2009.

Graphics look awesome.

I never finished Forbidden Siren 2 either though. But that story was so convoluted I often had trouble figuring what I had to do next. And I'm not to hot on games where you can not kill the monsters...

And WHERE is the SH Origins Soundtrack...

Yeah i agree they certainly get more insane as they go, i mean what was with the floating corpses in silent hill 4 O_O. I was flipping out when i saw them birthing from the walls. lol. Not sure if you guys notice but i reckon the characters get more strange too, i mean i dont think there is anyone weirder then Jasper.

Yeah for sure, imagine how amazing it will look though? Because i mean Project Zero 3 The Tormented in particular was one of the best looking games i've played so you can only imagine how good it will look on PS3. Cherrona im guessing you are an absolute horror lover which makes me think have you played Rule of Rose? I think it got banned, but you can still pick up a copy on ebay, here are some clips.

No none really apart from FEAR, which that was a FPS, but Forbidden Siren 3 and Project Zero IV were announced a while ago, im not sure when they will arrive on PS3 but they are definitely in the works. I'd love to see sequels to horror titles like Clock Tower, Haunting Ground and Rule of Rose.

SH2 was indeed a great game. I have a copy of the one with the "Borne from a Wish" mini-game and a copy of the "Making of" dvd (can't watch it though because of regional restrictions).
It's a shame that there aren't many (if any at all) other Survival Horrors that are as good. Buy I'm really looking forward to Silent Hill Origins on the PSP.

Are there any good Survival Horror games already out on the PS3?

Yeah i think the Silent Hill games deserve an in depth plot analysis though, mainly because they are just so deep and have some of the best storylines in any game to date. I mean to this day i still dont reckon any game has a better storyline than Silent Hill 2, that was great.

lol Yeah they were scary. Apparentlly if you listen and watch when some are near, they point at Henry and talk or sing or something. Really freaky!

Here's a little info I found on Wikipedia about them:

Twin Victim (Victim 07 + 08) - Walter Sullivan's seventh and eighth victims were twins Billy and Miriam Locane. They are the only two of Walter's victims that manifest themselves as monsters instead of ghosts. This is partly due to Walter's guilt over killing innocent children, but by giving them the appearance of monsters, they seem dangerous and far from innocent. The twins' spirits have fused together, giving this monster its two heads. Because Billy and Miriam were the youngest of Walter's victims, the heads of the Twin Victim look disturbingly like calm infants' faces. While these monsters look grotesque and intimidating, they can easily be dealt with, as they have trouble turning around quickly, but they are at their most dangerous at medium range when they lunge at Henry.
(An interesting behavior of the Twin Victims can be witnessed if Henry does not get too close. They appear pointing strictly at him, and their whispers can sometimes be heard echoing through the air. They can be heard saying, "Receiver." If Henry approaches the monster, or shoots it, then it will start to attack.)

I also like Hometown. Two of my other favorite songs are Angel's Thanatos by Akira Yamaoka on the SH2 and Room of Angel from SH4. I don't know where either can be found to download though.

My fave Silent Hill character would have to be Harry.
My lest fave would be Laura from SH2 (little brat)
and my fave monster would be Pyramid Head. He's freaky.
