Did anybody notice that they censored Raging Raven cutting the soldiers in half? It's funny, because it showed the guys getting split in two in the trailer, but not in the final game...

is it just me or what? why do the videos look crisper than the actual gameplay? mgs4 looks blurry at times and not sharp and clear on my 1080i 42" lcd tv with hdmi?
xbox 360 runs crisper and faster (fps) than all ps3 games ive tried so far :/

EDIT2: ahhh really i think that link is pure promotion for thier plasmas....
plasmas show better blacks apparently...
progressive scanning is really the key to getting a good image...
interlacing sounds bad.. and it is...
720P is greater than 540I - formerly known in old-speak as 1080I
see 1080i is 2x 540 line images refreshing on alternative scans... umm something like that anyway...
google: 720p vs 1080i for more info..

still not sure how drebin points work... I skipped that scene where you're introduced to him coz it was taking too long. Great fun so far, but takes a while to get used to the controls (i've never played a metal gear game before). I can't wait to see the beauty and the beasts at the end of act 1. I think it's definitely a game that I'll be playing over and over again. Also, what's with the channels at the start of the game? I assume that's just to disguise loading the first cutscene of the game.

no its not really to disguise loading its just some thing wacky and fun to watch

Woohoo! I finished Act 1 on Naked Normal lol. Took me 4 hours 19 minutes.
I'm confused about the Drebin points at the end of Act 1:
Continues (3000DP)
Recovery Items Used (1000DP)
Weapon Types Procured (1250DP)
Flashbacks Watched (3330 DP)
Special Items Used (5000DP)
What's all this about? Am I losing DP because of the number of continues I used? The number of recovery items used I used?
And also ... another 3 minute HDD install after completing Act 1? So did not see this coming ...

the less amount of coninues and recovery items you use the more bonus drebin points you get
and there is a 3 min instal before each act

Ohh, the less number of continues ... the more bonus Drebin points I get. Ok, gotcha. I thought I lost drebin points because I had to use 3 continues lol
Btw, do you guys make a save after each completed level and keep the save?

I started doing a speed run of MGS4 today to get the FOX emblem. So far, 21 minutes, no alerts, no kills and I'm up to the FROG battle. Am I doing well? :/

i did go pass this area, but i didnt know if i needed the camouflage or facecamo to do it so i just continued on, plus there was no pmc patrolling the area so no point =]

that group of statues is in Act one. just before you meet the MK II. you can jump on the pedistal and press triangle to make snake blend in with them. Works without the face camo but its better to do it with the face camo

yeah, I think you need face camo for it, but I didn't find any... lol be pretty funny if you used it to evade guards, but it's not really positioned where you can really use it...

Lucky I didn't delete or overwrite any of my game saves, I might load one up just to check out this statue

No face camo needed. It's the same statue from the MGS4 gameplay demonstration. Unfortunately there arn't any PMC's patrolling the area like the demonstration.
That's too early in the game to use face camo. On a second playthrough you can only use your goodies after you've rendevouz with MK2, so your all wrong!!!
