Virtua Tennis 3 was arcade like, it's good for a quick match and very easy to play.
Is Topspin 3 more simulated? So that it's more realistic and can be easy to mis-hit a ball? (Everybody's Golf = Arcade like. Tiger Woods Golf = Simulation)

mickyt888 do you have Top Spin 3? Or did you just try out the demo? I want this over VT3 because it's suppose to have more realism in gameplay. Both have great graphics, but Top Spin is a little better because it's been updated whereas VT3 is a little 'old' now!
I just don't want a tennis gameplay where you can still hit a ball even though there's half-a-metre of air in between the racquet and the ball!!! (it's just so unrealistic!!)

I wouldn't say it's crap at all. It's very challenging and it's a sim. Virtua Tennis is arcade and isn't at all realistic. It's like comparing NBA Street to NBA 2K8. Top Spin 3 makes you play legit. You can't just build up your stats easily. You have to work for it.

Yes if your out of position you hit it out. I own the game and enjoy it more the vt3

i got the demo, and i thought it was really great, the graphics arent amazing, but the gameplay was FANTASTIC, fairly realistic (i play tennis in real life).
i would buy it if i had the time and money to play it.

virtual tennis 3 is arcade style its like fifa and pro evolution.
Its harder then hit max power every hit vt3.

well i like this game.
you need to time your hit if you want to make it stronger or something like that.
the power shot is really hard to do. im not good at it. i'm still getting used to the controls.
are they going to have DLC for this?

Thanks for you comment , been contemplating on this for a while now. I just hope the online tournaments will run smoother soon (I'd hate to play with lag!!).

I recommend this over VT3, it's so much more challenging. Hitting a ball successfullly is more about your position and how well u time ur shot. I haven't played online yet, goatta train!!! Slaughter prevention is imperetive!!

I really should do the training, got the full game yesterday and dialed up Sharapova v Roddick exhibition on normal diff and I got owned, was doing well to hit more than 2 back before he smashed cross court forehand winners!
It really does suck about the roster it's bordering on abysmal! Needs Ivanovic and Hantchucova along with the Williams and at least 10 others.
This game also badly needs commentary it would be very enjoyable if it just had soemthing to spice it up. Only sport game I know of to not have commentary it's like watching WWE without the King and JR.

Correct! Commentary after each couple of points wouldn't be a bad thing.. Afterall, there's nothing quite like getting told how bad your forehand is! ha! I just got my created character into the PRO's... played my first tournament on HARD and was dealt Federer as my first round opponent... I managed to win the first set.. then the first game of the 2nd..., but that was all.. He ran away with it!!!!!!!!
