I got ut yesterday and so far it's pretty good. Story mode is a little on the short side. Have yet to try any form of multiplayer, the online isn't working for me for some reason.

Well, im most dissapointed at the game. The graphics isnt as good as i hoped it would. Tekken 6 looks much better on aracade and also Tekken DR better gfx too. Whats with the swords peircing through boobs and amour peircing through arms? take your time to finish it properly!
anywayz never played SC before so learning. be easy on me.

SCIV graphics are gorgeous i cant believe you could be disappointed in them, having said that i do agree with you on Tekken 6 looking better, T6 is in a league of its own for visually amazing looking fighting games.

i think the game is great.
just some minor touch ups be nice. Even with tekken 6 u can have custom costumes with weapons and you dont see it peircing through the character. I went over to play it at the arcades right after SCIV, the water and atmousphere is just all much better.
graphics-wise Tekken Dr has better character models and also stage is prettier (prettier than tekken 6 imo).
i think SC iv's move animation with all the lights is pretty cool.

He isnt bad, he has some great throws but i find the apprentice the better fighter, Darth being better looking.

Does any one here use an arcade stick? Can generic pc sticks be plugged in to the usb ports and used as normal?

Ivy is so unashamedly kinky its not funny. She has all the girl domination moves and whip throws. Her heel grind move is pretty annoying as well. I dont use her that much, i prefer someone more fluid like Maxi or maybe Talim or whatever her name is.

Play against the cpu on hard, once you can handle the AI you'll be the one handing out open cans of whoop ass.

Yeah that heel move is pretty annoying. There is one longass combo where she twirls the chain-sword (despite all her moves involving twirling of some sort)and launches you. Then theres a continuation to it where she wraps the chain around your ankle and slams you back to the ground. Looks incredible and takes a fair amount of HP.

I use it all the time, i love the arcade feel and i believe its an essential buy for a fighting game.

I think my problem is that i rotate between so many different fighters, i never just use one or two and take the time to learn them.
EDIT: J San, that move is still in BTW. That is an excellent move.

'No plans' for Yoda on PS3 Soulcalibur IV
If Katsutoshi Sasaki, the director of Soulcalibur IV, is to be believed, there will be no Yoda in the form of DLC in the PS3 version. There won't be a Vader DLC for the 360 version, for that matter.
The interview in MSXBox World contains mostly questions about the Xbox 360 version, but when asked "will there ever be a time when we can have Darth Vader and Yoda on the same console?" Sasaki gave a clear reply of "we don't have any plans for that." The interview is dated August 31st, 2008, but we are going to assume it is from July 31st.
This is contrary to earlier reports on the official Korean PlayStation site claiming Yoda will be available for download from the PSN. And videos like this certainly won't help douse those rumors.

Yup! The game is region free even for online, so you won't have any probs playing against aussies 
And yeah, 5 stages in story and average ToLS mode, almost makes me want to go back to Soul Calibur 3...
