Lol. if its 128 vs 128 the reason for the squads is for avoiding people runnning anywhere eg. In cod4 imagine theres 60 30vs30. they arents split into squads in s&d. Imagine if the whole team ran to B and left A open? Oh yeah Res2 is also 60vs60 and squad based!

Lol, its called a 'dedicated server' like BFBC and its region based so yanks dont get into our games and ruin our games like cod4 and warhawk.

from what i can gather its two teams of 128, which is then broken down a few time to give 16 teams (squads) of 8, or soemthing like that, i'd say each squad will be given its own roles, but no-one is gonna wanna do the support roles, they just stop supplying and start shooting everyone, it'll be ruined unfortunately

Yeah. So kinda like region locked. So no one experiences lag. If there are dedicated servers in every single d*** game ever made after SOCOM confrontation then young gamers that just started will never experience what 'lag' is

not neccessarily, if they use ip's rather than region locked discs, which is highly unlikely

bfbc has "dedicated servers" if you can call ea servers dedicated ... all of which are located in american an europe an lag like **** even for americans with 24 players , average ping rate for an american is 217 , permium ping rate for a 1st person shooter is 20-115

i know all about dedicated servers i used to work for internode an run there gaming network , an im telling you right now even if they gave company's the ability to run there own servers there is NO way 256 players wll run online smoothly in australia even if it was jacked directly into the telstra backbone we just do not have the capability unfortunatly
